Teens between the ages 13-19, this is your chance to make a difference! The goal of the Teen Advisory Committee is to plan, organize and implement programs that teens in the Columbia area would like to attend. The commitment is meeting every other Thursday from 5:30pm to 7pm at CA Headquarters and helping out with the various events. It’s a great group of teens, and we are always looking for more.
The Teens on the committee work to find new and different activities for area teens. They have held several coffeehouse events where teen bands and individuals have performed to packed crowds. The teens find this a wonderful opportunity to hone their skills, to try out new music and to perform in front of a live audience.Those who attend just enjoy the coffeehouse atmosphere and the opportunity to hang out with their friends. The committee also coordinated a very successful Battle of the Dance with three area dance professionals served as judges. Teens competed in groups and as individuals, and trophies were given out for each category. |
