Most people say that they don’t volunteer because they’ve never been asked. We’re asking! Volunteer today to make a difference in our community!

The Volunteer Center Serving Howard County, a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities, opened in 2001 to connect community members with nonprofit and government organizations in Howard County seeking volunteers. Individuals, families, groups and businesses can register online to receive information about volunteer opportunities that reflect specific interests and skills. In addition, The Volunteer Center promotes volunteer opportunities for young people and flexible projects that fit into any schedule. To learn more and get started, please contact us or click on the link above to go directly to the Volunteer Center's website.

The Volunteer Center is a partnership of the Columbia Association, The Columbia Foundation, the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism, The Horizon Foundation, Howard County Department of Citizen Services, United Way Community Partnership of Howard County, the Association of Community Services of Howard County and the Howard County Association of Volunteer Administrators.
