2012 - 2013 School Year Before and After Care:
Registrations are still being accepted for the 2012-2013 school year for those programs that have space. Call 410-715-3164 for more information.
2013 - 2014 School Year Before and After Care:
Early Registration: (for children currently enrolled in the SAS program, ONLY)
Early registration for the 2013-2014 school year will begin on Monday April 29, 2013 and will continue until Friday May 24th. Registrations will not be accepted from May 25th to June 7th.
Open Registration: (for all children)
Open registration for the 2013-2014 school year will start on Saturday June 8, 2013. Registrations will be accepted on a first come space available basis that Saturday from 7am to 12pm. Thereafter registration will be accepted at the main CA office from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday and will be accepted on a first come space available basis until August 9th. Registrations will not be accepted August 10-26, 2013 and will resume Tuesday August 27th.
2013 - 2014 Summer Before and After Care Programs:
The Columbia Association School Age Services (SAS) program will provide child care for summer programs offered by the Howard County Public School System from June 24-July 19, 2013. It is available for children ages 5 to 14 at the following locations:
Oakland Mills MS - Summer Institute for Talent Development
Bellow Springs ES - Comprehensive Summer School (After Care only)
Registrations will be accepted until Friday May 31, 2013

Payment Options
There are five options to pay tuition for the 2013-2014 school year with the Columbia Association:
Option One: an annual payment plan with one payment due August 1, 2013 which gives a 10% discount.
Option Two: a bi-annual two payment plan with payments due August 1, 2013 and January 1, 2014 which gives a 5% discount.
Option Three: automatic debit from a credit card.
Option Four: automatic debit from a checking account.
Option Five: a monthly bill.
Please complete a Payment Option Form and return with your first monthly payment, which is due by August 1, 2013.

A.M. Program: For elementary school students only. From 7 a.m. until the school day begins. Students attend the program at their school.
P.M. Program: For elementary and middle school students. From after school until 6 p.m. Elementary school students attend the program at their school. Middle school students attend at Lake Elkhorn, Dunloggin or Hammond.
School's Closed Programs: Offered on
most days when school is scheduled to be closed
all day. Requires a separate registration form.
Children need not be registered in the A.M./P.M.
programs to register for Full Day Programs. School's Closed Programs

Tax
information: The tax identification number
is 52-0823992. The Columbia Association's School
Aged Services Department does not provide a
statement for taxes. A copy of your monthly
bill should be kept for this purpose.
Registration-
In order to register a child for the morning and/or afternoon program, a registration form, a special care plan and a health inventory completed by a physician.
Registrations are accepted at the CA Headquarters, 10221 Wincopin Circle in Columbia, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Forms can also be mailed to Columbia Association, SAS, 10221 Wincopin Circle, Columbia, MD 21044.
Income Qualified Application: Reduced rate is available for Howard County residents for School Age Services only, as the programs are held in the public schools, whose household income is within the Columbia Association guidelines. This form and the required documents must accompany the registration form and required fees.
For information about the reduced rate program, download the income-qualified application. Purchase of Care through the Maryland Department of Social Services is also accepted.
New Requirements to Administer Medication:
In addition to the Medication order form/Medication administered form (below), Health Care providers (with prescriptive authority) must provide a handwritten order for prescription and over-the-counter medications that is consistent with all state and federal regulations and must include the following, according to COMAR 13A.16.11.04 (Centers), 13A.15.11.04 Family Child Care Homes and 13A.17.11.04 (letters of compliance):
- Child's name
- Name of medication
- Current date
- Dosage
- Route (how to administer)
- Time medication needs to be given while in care
- Medication start date and medication end date
- Reason for medication (on occasion, this information may be confidential)
- Side effects that need to be reported
- Expiration date of medication
- Advice that one dose of medication has been given at home
- Special instructions or storage information
Blanket Permission Forms are not acceptable for Over-the-Counter Medications or Prescription Medications.
