What's Happening in Columbia

KidSpace

Kid friendly. Parent approved.

KidSpace is an awesome interactive play area that enhances a child's self concept and promotes positive self image. KidSpace amenities, which can be found at Columbia Athletic Club, Supreme Sports Club, Columbia Gym and Columbia Swim Center, are tailored to each facility and include kid-sized arenas, a computer room, a rock wall, climbing ropes, state-of-the-art games and equipment. A variety of activities is offered daily and includes art, music, dramatic play and various physical activities and games.

The KidSpace program is structured in a manner that facilitates opportunities for both individual and group participation, striking a balance between self-selected and staff-directed activities, with both quiet and active periods. Your kids' place is KidSpace, and they won't want to leave.

At Supreme Sports Club, your little ones will feel at home as they crawl through play mazes or into the book tent to listen to story time; play make believe in the dress-up nook; or build whatever they can imagine at a number of play stations. Older children can work on computers, climb a rock wall or ropes, play court sports or quiet games or just socialize with friends.

At Columbia Gym, your kids will enjoy the Jumpin' Jungle, complete with a tree house. Older children can work on computers in the 12-station lab; play basketball, volleyball, soccer or field hockey in the youth arena; or just hang out with their friends playing foosball, bumper pool, pop-a-shot basketball, air hockey, ping-pong, Sony Playstation video games and board games in the Youth Center.

An awesome, high-tech indoor playground is a major feature at Columbia Athletic Club. Teens will love the Nintendo bikes where they can exercise and play video games at the same time. Little ones can exercise their imaginations in the mini-kitchen and other play areas.

Columbia Swim Center offers a mini-version of KidSpace intended for the littlest youngsters to have fun in a safe environment so that parents can swim laps or take water classes.

You can work out assured that your children are having a great time in a quality atmosphere. Dedicated KidSpace attendants lead your children in fun activities like art, reading, music, dramatic play and physical games.

KidSpace also offers safety and security. There are family-friendly entrances where your children can be checked in to the secure and supervised KidSpace while you check in to the club. Parents or guardians must show their photo ID and their children's photo ID when picking up their children.

It offers flexible space so that children can be grouped by age for fun activities, as well as convenient hours. No reservations are necessary, although reservations are recommended for children 6 weeks to 14 months. Your children can enjoy KidSpace for up to two consecutive hours per day every day. Schedules and activities are subject to change.
